Athletic Events
Athletic Events would be marathons, duathalons, triathalons and the like. We are typically hired by a race director or promoter to capture action shots of all the contestants in the race.
We've been working for many years as contract photographers for many different event companies but it's not until we found a facility to handle all the backend sorting and fullfillment of orders that we decided to cover a select few ourselves.
These events are handled a little differently in that there is usually no fee paid to us by the race director. We basically work these events on spec. with the experience and knowledge that if we capture good images the athletes will buy them. And that's where we make our money.
Typically, photos will be ready for purchase in around three days. Athletes will receive an email with links to photos of them as well as a link to all the photos they can look through should they feel they were missing some. Once the race is over and the photos sorted the race directors will get an assortment of images that they may use for promotional purposes.
